Severe Weather Alert: Fire Danger
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FIRE WEATHER WATCH SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING FOR DORCHESTER – WICOMICO – SOMERSET INLAND WORCESTER – AND MARYLAND BEACHES. A RED FLAG WARNING FROM 10 AM TO 8 PM SUNDAY FOR KENT-INLAND SUSSEX-DELAWARE BEACHES-QUEEN ANNES-TALBOT AND CAROLINE COUNTIES. GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY'S HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO CREATE HAZARDOUS FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS. THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR RAPID SPREAD IF UNCONTROLLED FIRES DEVELOP OR EVEN FOR PRESCRIBED BURNS TO GET OUT OF CONTROL. OUTDOOR BURNING IS NOT RECOMMENDED.
