BERLIN, Md.- Four-year-old Renata Lovitt was promised a $500 U.S. Savings Bond for winning a Halloween costume contest dressed up as "Little Orphan Annie" at Pizza Tugos in West Ocean City.
That happened on Halloween last year.
It's been six months since the contest and still no prize..
"We waited month after month and no bond ever came," said Lovitt's grandfather, Michael Vance.
The family said they tried contacting the manager but were always told he isn't available.
"I don't know why they are doing what they are doing, it does kind of put a sour taste in your mouth," Vance said..
"It's bad enough to cheat a big person but to cheat a little kid is not very good," said Vance, "It's kind of politically incorrect I guess you could say."
In addition to visiting the restaurant and asking for the manager, we also tried to contact the owner of the restaurant.
When we called late Wednesday afternoon, the person answering the phone wouldn't tell us the name.
