Driver Cited After Crash into Front Porch of Home

FREDERICA, Del.- Delaware State Police say the driver of a truck was cited after he crashed into two parked vehicles and the front porch of a home in Frederica.
Police said that shortly before 3 p.m. Tuesday, 50-year David R. Cox of Harrington lost control of his Ford F450 truck on David Street in Frederica and sideswiped a Chevy Lumina and a Ford F150 pickup truck parked on the side of the road and eventually hit the two-story house. Troopers said one person was inside the home at the time of the crash but he was not injured.
Cox, who police said was properly restrained, was cited for inattentive driving. He also was not injured.
Police said building inspectors were called to the scene to determine the structural integrity of the home.
