MILTON, Del. – The Milton Police Department arrested two adults and two juveniles after a fight broke out during a police patrol.
Officers said 37-year-old Robert Jones, 35-year-old Annie Flowers, a 17-year-old juvenile and a 16-year old juvenile were arrested for their roles in a fight that broke out on the 400 block of Mulberry Street in Milton Saturday night. Police said they were doing their usual patrol around 8 p.m. when they saw a fight going on in the middle of the street.
According to investigators, Jones was driving and stopped the group of kids walking in the street. He began chasing a 15-year-old victim, while Flowers' and her 16 and 17-year-old sons collectively beat up the 16-year-old victim, police said. Officers said Jones stood around the 16-year-old victim so no one could break it up.
Officers said the 15-year-old victim tried recording the event on his phone, but Flowers took the phone, scratched him and punched him in the face. Jones caused the 15-year-old victim to flee as the Milton Police arrived.
Milton Police arrested Jones, Flowers and her two sons for their roles in the neighborhood fight. The four people were taken into custody without incident.
Flowers is facing charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Offensive Touching. Jones is facing charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Menacing. The two were released on $3,500 unsecured bond.
Flowers' sons are facing charges of Offensive Touching and released on $500 unsecured bond.
