Wicomico Man Now Faces Sentencing

SALISBURY, Md. - It took just two days for an accused murderer to be found guilty on all counts.
Witnesses took the stand Monday, as the trial for the man accused of killing his "on again, off again" girlfriend started in Wicomico County.
William Hill, 24, of Fruitland, was charged for the December 2010 murder and assault of Whitney Bennett. Officials say he was arrested in April. Bennett was a mother of three children, and found in a shallow grave in Manokin. Her family reported her missing in December 2010.
The trial ended a day early, according to the Wicomico County State's Attorney. Hill will have his sentencing scheduled within the next 30 days. He apparently had no reaction to Tuesday's proceedings.
Hill continues to be held without bail at the Wicomico County Detention Center.
