SALISBURY, Md. - School and law enforcement officials worked together today after rumors were spread that a gun had been found at Bennett Middle School. The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office is clarifying that the gun was a toy BB gun.
BMS staff took possession of the toy that a parent brought to school and turned in after finding it in a student's backpack. The school and the Sheriff's office worked together to ensure a safe learning environment for all of the students.
