Over 1 Million Credit And Debit Card Numbers Hacked

MARYLAND - A data breach at a payments processing firm has potentially compromised up to 1.5 million credit and debit card numbers from all of the major card brands. Releasing a statement, Global Payments stated that cardholder names, addresses and Social Security numbers were not affected. Global Payments did not say which card companies were affected, but Visa released a statement saying that it was all of the big players. Residents along the shore react.

"I've had my bank account hacked before, and it completely throws you off, because I was basically out of money for two weeks, because I had to close all of my accounts", says one resident. " Its really scary, because I use my debit card and credit card for basically everything. I never have cash so its pretty scary that that's happening", says another.
If your credit card company sees something suspicious, they will contact you. No matter what, you won't be liable for unauthorized charges to your account.
