Central Middle School Lockdown

DOVER, Del. - Principal Darren Guido of Central Middle School says his students and staff acted with precision and accuracy during what could have been a very dangerous situation. Just before 11:30 AM an intruder entered the school and headed for the basement-storage area. Guido says that after a separate incident in the community, the suspect was looking for a hideaway from police. The "Code Yellow" warning was announced to faculty and staff, locking down the school. A custodian escorted the suspect from the building and Dover City Police were able to apprehend him on the football field.
