2 Killed in Motorcycle Crash in Bear

BEAR, Del. (WBOC/ AP) - New Castle County emergency officials say a motorcycle had collided with a car in Bear, killing two people.
Officials say 45-year old Marvin B. Albert was driving the motorcycle along with his 29-year-old passenger Kaitlin E. Brown. Police said 20-year-old Ty Whittaker was driving his 1999 Honda Accord and was trying to make a left turn in the intersection of Porter Road and Wrangle Hill Road. Albert was traveling southbound on Route 72 on his 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle when the pair struck the front of the car, investigators said. Authorities said Albert and his passenger were launched off the bike about 75 feet around 9:35 p.m. Wednesday. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
An occupant in the vehicle was taken to Christiana Hospital in stable condition. Whittaker received no injuries during the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
