WICOMICO CO., Md. - Some dress code changes could be coming to a number of Wicomico County elementary schools.
The board of education is set to vote on the Consistent Attire Program next week. If passed, there wouldn't be an actual uniform - but there would be limits on what students at 9 county schools would be able to wear in the 2012-2013 school year. They would be required to wear long sleeve or shot sleeve oxford polo shirts, or turtlenecks in solid white, navy, light blue, grey, and each school would also pick a school color.

The 9 schools that the program would affect are: Beaver Run, Charles H. Chipman, Delmar, North Salisbury, Pemberton, Pinehurst, Prince Street, Wicomico Early Learning Center, and West Salisbury Elementary. Two schools that were part of the original proposal – East Salisbury Elementary and Glen Avenue Elementary – did not receive a sufficient level of parent response to proceed.
