BERLIN, Md. - The wait is almost over for Berlin residents eager to see their new Walmart Supercenter.
Community and business leaders will come together Wednesday for an early morning a ribbon cutting ceremony. Tuesday, they held an invitation-only open house for friends and family of associates.
The new Walmart will feature a pharmacy, vision center, digital photo processing center, ticketmaster counter, and a Walmart connect center. You'll also have access to a Subway restaurant, hair and nail salon.
"Customers are extremely excited when it was being built. When we were in the old store and they were being built, that's all they talked about - couldn't wait for this building to open up. They finally have a one stop shop - they can come into the store, not only buy their general merchandise, but they can buy all their groceries. They don't need to go somewhere else to buy their groceries," said Scott Ficca, store manager.
The store will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
