Suspected Drunk Driver Crashes BMW into House in O.C.

OCEAN CITY, Md.– Police have arrested a suspected drunk driver accused of crashing his car into a home in Ocean City.
Ocean City police said that at around 7:36 p.m. Sunday, 29-year-old Charles Allen Fogel crashed his 2002 BMW through a fence and damaged a home on 90th Street and Coastal Highway.
According to police, Fogel was driving northbound on Coastal Highway and attempted to turn around and go southbound. Investigators said that while he was turning, Fogel's car crushed a metal fence and struck the brick stoop of a home before his car stopped. Fogel was unharmed during the crash, police said.
Fogel was arrested charged with DUI, driving under the influence of alcohol Per Se, driving while impaired by alcohol, reckless driving and negligent driving, drive failure to obey properly placed traffic control device, drive making improper turn at intersection, failure to control vehicle speed on highway to avoid a collision, drive failure to obey designated lane directions and driving vehicle on sidewalk and sidewalk area prohibited.
He was released on his on recognizance.
