EDEN, Md.- Maryland State Police confirm one person has died as a result of a single-vehicle accident in Eden. Police say it happened Saturday night on Polks Road, in the area of New Road.
Upon arrival at approximately 9:33p.m., responding personnel found the passenger, a 35-year-old white male from Marion, deceased at the scene.
MSP say the vehicle was traveling north on Polks Road when it failed to negotiate a right hand curve and traveled off the shoulder of the roadway, striking a ditch and wooden fence.
Police say the front-seat passenger of the vehicle was ejected as a result of this collision. They say the driver of the vehicle, a 25-year-old black male from Eden, was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
