Credit Card Fraud Investigation Leads to Salisbury Woman's Arrest

SALISBURY, Md.- A Salisbury woman is facing charges following accusations that she stole another person's credit card and racked up thousands of dollars in unauthorized charges on it.
The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office said that on April 4, a deputy met with a woman who stated that she had discovered more $2,000 in charges had been placed on her credit card without her knowledge or permission. Police said that after an investigation, the deputy identified a suspect, 19-year-old Ariel L. McCaskill, who had taken the card and used it 79 times between Feb. 27 and March 27 to the tune of $2,249.
The deputy obtained a warrant for McCaskill's arrest and it was served on April 10. McCaskill was charged with credit card misuse and theft and released on unsecured bond.
