Attempted Sexual Assault at Salisbury University

SALISBURY, Md.- Salisbury University Police are investigating the attempted sexual assault of a female student that occurred over the weekend.
Police said that at around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, March 31, the female student was tackled to the ground, and then a man tried to sexually assault her. Police said she resisted the attack, and the suspect fled.
According to suspect was described as a light-skinned African-American male. The attempted sexual assault happened on a walkway between Maggs Gym and Sea Gull Square on the SU campus.
"They say don't go out in the areas alone off campus but obviously you can't walk your own campus at night alone because you're fearful of what's going to happen," said SU student Martinique White.
