POCOMOKE CITY, Md.– The Worcester County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating three fires that occurred within three miles of each other Wednesday night.
The Stockton Fire Department said it responded to the fires, all of which happened on or near Payne Road. Firefighters said two were barn fires and one was a woods fire.
The origin and cause of the fires remain under investigation.
