Weekend Snow Event
Everybody on Delmarva will see flakes coming from the sky at some point in the day Saturday. In the more southern regions it may be late in the days as the storm will be mostly rain throughout the day before a quick transition over to snow. This area should pick up maybe a dusting of snow. In central Delmarva rain will begin the storm transitioning over to a mixture for a portion of Saturday then changing over to all snow. Up to 0.5 to 1.5 inches of snow is possible in the region. Northern Delmarva should be the winners as the storm will be mostly rain/snow mix changing over to all snow accumulating 1-3 inches with higher amounts. The cause of this snowfall is a coastal storm intensifying as it heads up the coast and an Arctic front moving southeastward colliding with the storm causing a quick drop in the temperatures and a quick changeover to snowy weather. Winds will be blustery to as wind chills Saturday evening and overnight drop into the 20s.
