DOVER, Del. (AP) - Members of the General Assembly's budget writing committee are continuing their hearing as they work through Gov. Jack Markell's proposed spending plan for the upcoming fiscal year.
The Joint Finance Committee was to hear budget presentations Monday from the Department of Correction and Department of Transportation.
Tuesday's agenda includes the Department of Education and the state economic development office.
Markell's proposed $3.5 billion operating budget for the fiscal year starting July 1 represents an increase of 1 percent over the current year's operating budget.
