ELSMERE, Del. (AP) - Maryland State Police say a town councilman from Elsmere was fatally injured in a motorcycle crash in Elkton, Md.
Forty-year-old Edward Olga died Monday in Christiana Hospital.
Troopers say about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Olga was driving his motorcycle east on U.S. 40 when he lost control of the vehicle and hit the rear of the car traveling in front of him.
Olga was thrown from the motorcycle, slid across the highway and was hit by a car.
Elsmere Town Manager John Giles said that members of the motorcycle group Olga was traveling with and others helped move the vehicle to free him.
Olga was elected to the Elsmere council in April.
