Cash Reward Offered in Salisbury Homicide Case

SALISBURY, Md.- Authorities are offering a cash reward to anyone with information that leads to the arrest of whoever is responsible for the fatal shooting of a Salisbury man.
Maryland State Police said that shortly before 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, troopers from the Salisbury Barrack were dispatched to the 700 block of Olivia Street for a report of shots fired.  When troopers arrived on the scene, they found a 1991 white Oldsmobile convertible parked on the side of the road. Police said they found the body of 54-year-old Elmer Charles Duffy Jr. inside the car with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neighbors we spoke with Tuesday said the news doesn't come as a surprise. One woman, who wished not to be identified, said she initially thought someone was banging on her window, before realizing it was the sound of gunshots. She told WBOC she is looking to move from the neighborhood following this incident.
So far, police have no suspects in Duffy's murder.
A $2,500 cash reward is being offered by Crime Solvers of the Eastern Shore. Callers may remain anonymous. Anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or who may have information about who is involved, is urged to contact Crime Solvers at (410) 548-1776 or the MSP Salisbury Barrack at (410) 749-3101.
