July 4 Fireworks Returning to Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) - The skies over Salisbury will be lit up this July Fourth.
Mike Dunn, the former city council president and the event organizer, says the city hasn't had Independence Day fireworks in about eight years, and it's time to bring them back.
He says that the $20,000 display will feature fireworks soaring up to 600 feet in the air, and that the celebration will also include food vendors and activities for children.
Dunn says he's already raised more than $20,000 for the celebration, but is hoping to raise $40,000 to cover the displays this year and next year.
He says the local police and fire departments have been very cooperative
