Bill Prohibiting Slow Driving in Left Lane Stalls

DOVER, Del. (AP)- A bill prohibiting slower moving vehicles from remaining in the left lane on Delaware highways has been tabled in the state House so lawmakers can clarify its language.
The bill is intended to prevent slower drivers from remaining in the passing lane and blocking cars behind them. Chief sponsor William Carson, a Smyrna Democrat, says that can lead to road rage.
Carson amended his bill to clarify that motorists traveling at the posted speed limit in the left lane would not be in violation of the proposed law.
But other lawmakers said the bill still lacked clarity, noting that it prohibits driving continuously below the posted speed limit in the left land but does not define what continuously means
