Lewes Teen Arrested for Raping 7-Year-Old

MILTON, Del.- Milton police have arrested a Lewes teenager accused of sexually abusing a 7-year-old boy.

Police said Friday were called to Milton Elementary School where they met with a 7-year-old boy who was "acting out." Police brought in the Child Advocacy Center of Delaware to interview the child, but they said he would not share any information with investigators to explain his behavior.

However, authorities said that at a followup meeting held at the school, the victim told Milton police officers that he had been sexually abused by a 14-year-old boy from Lewes. According to police, the abuse occurred from November 2011 to April 2012.

The 14-year-old was taken into custody and charged with second-degree rape. He was ordered held on $5,000 secured bond pending a court appearance.

Police said the Division of Family Services is assisting the victim and his family
