Lewes Area Dentist Charged With Offensive Touching

LEWES, Del.- Delaware State Police have arrested a Lewes area dentist accused of offensively touching an 8-year-old male patient. 
According to police, the incident in question happened at around 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, at the dental office of Dr. Bruce Fisher on Wescoats Road in Lewes.

According to investigators, the patient was at the office for a medical procedure. Police said Fisher, 44, of Rehoboth Beach, had just finished the process when the 8-year-old began screaming. Investigators said Fisher immediately covered the victim's mouth with his hand and told him to "shut up."
 
Police said detectives learned about the incident after it was reported by a family member who was in the room during the procedure.  Police say an investigation was conducted and a warrant was obtained for Fisher's arrest.  

Fisher turned himself in to Troop 4 in Georgetown on Friday, March 9, where he was charged with one count of offensive touching.  He was arraigned and released on $500 unsecured bail.
