Marydel, Md. - Authorities say 4-month-old child is dead, and the man responsible is behind bars.
The Caroline County Deputy Sheriff's arrived at a home on the 17000 hundred block of Cool Spring Road on Saturday and found the baby in cardiac arrest. Caroline County Emergency Medical Services transported the baby to Kent General Hospital, where the victim was pronounced dead.
An autopsy, by the medical examiner, ruled the death as a homicide due to blunt force trauma to the head.
After investigating, authorities arrested 26-year-old Justin Bradley. Officials say he lived at the residence with the victim but was not the biological father. Authorities say there was also a two-year-old and seven-year-old in the home at the time of the investigation. The Department of Social Services have placed both children with family members.
Bradley is facing multiple charges including first degree child abuse leading to death and manslaughter. He is being held on a $1,000,000 bond.
