Milford Police Search for Shooting Suspect

MILFORD, Del.- Milford police are asking for the public's help in locating 22-year-old Maurice R. Blackstone of Trenton, N.J. Blackstone is wanted in connection with a Tuesday shooting that left a 50-year-old man injured.
Police said Blackstone broke into a home in the 300 block of Truitt Avenue late Tuesday night. According to investigators, Blackstone was visiting the victim at his home when Blackstone pulled out a handgun and demanded money. Police said that Blackstone got an undisclosed amount of cash and fired a round at the victim, hitting him in the neck.
Blackstone then fled the scene, police said. The victim was transported to Milford Bayhealth Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition.
Blackstone is wanted on assault, robbery and related charges. He is described as black, 6-foot-1, 140 to 170 pounds and was last seen wearing a dark colored shirt, jeans and black sneakers.
Blackstone is known to frequent the Wilmington, Del., Philadelphia, and Trenton, N.J., areas.
