East Walnut Street Being Paved ?

DELMAR.If you have driven on E.Walnut Street in the past few days you should have noticed the paint lines on the road and orange marker flags in yards,maybe even seen survey crews on the roadside,these are the first steps of the new roadway.I have been told the old pavement will be taken up,new water and sewer pipes will be installed befor repaving. There will be a survey to decide rather rollcurbs or sidewalks will line the sides of the road.The construction should start in spring/summer of 2012.This project is long overdue,E.Walnut street has to be the worst street in Delmar.This is just one of many projects the newly elected mayor Carl Anderton and his council will face,so roll up your sleeves guys, there's plenty of work ahead.
