Man Arrested After Robbery Attempt At Delaware Store

Delaware State Police have arrested a man they say tried to rob a store in Felton. Forty-year-old Mark McDonald of Dover is charged with attempted robbery. He is being held on $5,000 secured bail. Troopers say about 2:10 a.m. Wednesday, McDonald went into the Canterbury Shore Stop on DuPont Highway. Police say he confronted a store employee, implied he had a gun and demanded the keys to her car. Officers say the employee refused, and McDonald then demanded cash from the register. Police say the employee again refused and told McDonald to leave the store. She then called 911. McDonald was arrested while standing near the building
