Laurel Drug Investigation Leads to 5 Arrests

LAUREL, Del. – Delaware State Police say a months-long investigation into illegal drug sales from a Laurel home has led to the arrests of five people.
On Friday, March 2, the Sussex County Drug Unit, with the assistance of the Sussex County Governor's Task Force, Criminal Investigations Unit, and the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team, conducted a series of search warrants on East Trap Pond Road and Laurel Road in Laurel.
 
During the execution of the first search warrant on East Trap Pond Road, detectives made contact with David Vasquez, 43; Shannon Ferenc, 28; Millard C. Johnson 4th, 33; and Christina S. Johnson, 30. The four suspects, all of whom are from Laurel, taken into custody. Detectives said that upon conducting a search of the home, they located heroin, drug paraphernalia and more than $600 in drug proceeds.
 
A search warrant was also conducted at an address on Laurel Road where Frank Pavlovic, 38, of Laurel, was contacted and taken into custody.  Detectives located more drug paraphernalia, along with a locked safe, according to police.
 
Detectives executed a second search warrant on the home on East Trap Pond Road in order to seize keys that matched the safe. Detectives said they were then able to open the safe and locate approximately 19 grams of heroin, 33 oxycodone pills, and $5,000 in suspected drug proceeds.
Vasquez was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, maintaining a drug property, second-degree conspiracy and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was ordered held on $84,400 cash bail.
Johnson was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, third-degree conspiracy, two counts of theft of a firearm, three counts of theft less than $1,500, nine counts of second-degree forgery and two counts of falsifying business records. He was ordered held on $2,300 secured bail.
Ferenc was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, second-degree conspiracy and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. She was ordered held on $25,700 cash bail.
Johnson was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and third-degree conspiracy. She was released on $1,000 unsecured bail. 
Pavlovic was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, maintaining a drug property, second-degree conspiracy and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was ordered held on $26,550 cash bail.
According to police, Johnson was also wanted out of Troop 4 in Georgetown for theft of firearms and other charges stemming from an incident that occurred on Woodland Ferry Road on Feb. 8
