Injured Wicomico Co. Deputy Released From Hospital

WICOMICO CO., Md. - After being shot in the line of duty Wednesday - Wicomico County Sheriff's Deputy First Class Tom Funk has been discharged from the hospital.

The 29-year-old is part of a U.S. Marshal's task force that was trying to arrest 22-year-old Tayvon Dobson - who was wanted on multiple warrants. But when Funk entered the home on the 800-block of Hubbard street Dobson shot at him - hitting him once in the arm. Funk is now recovering at home and Dobson is facing a number of charges.
"Maryland State Police [Wednesday] night charged Dobson with multiple criminal charges including attempted first and second degree murder, first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, assault on a law enforcement officer and use of a handgun in the commission of a felony. That couple with the 8 warrants that he was already wanted on. He was taken to the commissioner for a bond hearing and was incarcerated in the Dorchester County detention center without bond," said Maryland State Police Spokesman Greg Shipley. A preliminary hearing has been set for Dobson for the end of this month. Police have identified the two other people who were also inside the home at the time of the shooting and neither is facing any related charges.

8:52 AM not really sure what happened to them, most of their blog was directed to one person and with him in jail my guess is they have nothing to write about.
