EASTON, Md. - A local man who set a car and mobile home on fire has learned his fate.
Officials with the Maryland State Fire Marshal's office say 29-year-old Jason Dudley, of Cordova, will serve five years in connection to the August 2011 incident.
Authorities say the incident took place on the 10000 block of Longwoods Road, Lot #3 in Easton on August 28. Dudley set a 1998 Chevrolet Lumina and a nearby mobile home on fire. Officials say the blaze caused about $1,000 in damage to the vehicle. However, they say the fire did not cause visible damage to the mobile home.
Dudley pled guilty to attempted first degree arson in Talbot County Circuit Court. Officials say he was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment with all but 5 years suspended and five years probation following incarceration
