From The National Weather Service: For the Northern Half of Delmarva: Kent, Sussex, Caroline, Talbot and Queen Anne's Counties: A Flood Watch is in effect Sunday Evening through Tuesday. A High Wind Warning is in effect Monday Morning through Tuesday Afternoon with Gusts 55mph 75 mph on coast. A Coastal Flood Warning is in effect Sunday Afternoon through midnight Monday for the Delaware Coast. A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect Monday Afternoon through Wednesday Morning for Queen Anne's, Caroline and Talbot Counties.
For the Southern Half of Delmarva: Somerset, Dorchester, Wicomico, Accomack, Worcester: An Area Flood Watch is in effect 2am Sunday through Tuesday Evening. A coastal Flood Watch is in effect Sunday Night through Late Monday for Dorchester, Somerset and Wicomico Counties. A High Wind Warning is in effect for the entire lower shore 8am Monday Evening till 6am Tuesday. A Coastal Flood Warning for Accomack County and Maryland Beaches is in effect Sunday Evening through Monday at midnight.
Impact to Delmarva: Heavy Rain, High Winds with 75 mph gusts on the coast possible. Flooding due to heavy rainfall, storm surge, high seas, Astronomical High Tides and possible blocked storm drains likely. Keep an eye on your communities High Tide Cycles and anticipate at least two High Tide cycles of significant impact as "Sandy" moves through Delmarva Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
