SALISBURY - Residents of Westbrook Commons in Salisbury are stepping up to help local volunteer firefighters. Items are now being collected for the day dedicated to the volunteers. Residents are planning to honor their selfless heroism, with food, fun, and family. All proceeds from the barbeque and yard sale will go to Salisbury Volunteer Firefighters
Gloria Kieffer, the Property Manager of Westbrook Commons says, "We decided to invite the local volunteer firemen, to a backyard barbeque this summer, and we're trying to raise some donations to give to them, so we're going to have a yard sale". "We just want to recognize the volunteers in the area, what they do for us", she continues.
Applications to be a Volunteer firefighter will also be available at the Yard sale.
